Good/Bad Website Smackdown: Mercari vs. Temu
The websites I chose to do for this smackdown are Mercari and Temu; Mercari being the good website and Temu being the bad website. Mercari has a user-friendly, simple layout with professionally taken photos for each category. Mercari's prices are clearly stated with no random discounts unless the seller chooses to provide a sale. Since Mercari is a marketplace for sellers and buyers, all of the items are pre-owned, meaning all of the items on there are (almost always) real. Temu is also a marketplace, however, it is a bit different. Various sellers (usually people or companies who sell multiple of the same new product) for a low price. A majority of items are cheaply made, but advertised to look worth buying or good quality. Temu is filled with many pop-ups, claiming to give you a huge coupon that you will never be able to use.
